No. The UV index and sun-safety information in Sunpeak is general guidance only and is not medical advice. For skin, health, or medical concerns, please consult a qualified professional. UV and weather data may also be inaccurate or delayed, so don't rely on it solely for sun-safety decisions.
Sunpeak uses Apple WeatherKit and your device location to fetch the UV index and forecast for where you are. Your location is used only to fetch UV data — it is never sold, never used for advertising, and never tracked across apps.
Yes. Your location is sent to Apple WeatherKit to retrieve UV and weather data. It is not stored on a Sunpeak backend — Sunpeak has no backend of its own that stores your location. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Yes — Sunpeak uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it. It collects anonymous usage events plus a per-install identifier (IDFV) and an app-generated random ID. It never receives your precise location. There are no ads, no advertising identifier (IDFA), and no cross-app or cross-website tracking, and we never sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Location (When In Use) is used to fetch local UV data; it's optional and revocable any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Notifications are optional and used for reapply-sunscreen reminders and high-UV alerts; you can enable or disable them any time in iOS Settings.
Sunpeak Plus is an optional upgrade available as a weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial, an annual subscription, or a lifetime one-time purchase. All billing is handled by Apple through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings, and the price is always shown before you buy. See the Terms of Use for details.
